So here’s our video which was released a week ago, which I am only just now posting about :) sorry. Busy, busy we have been!

One Direction was visiting Australia, and I thought that, with all the hype, it would be a fitting video to release. And I guess it was. Maybe. No.

Anyways, sorry for not posting much here lately, I’m going to try and attract people to like our Facebook page, because that’s where I spend most of my time (apart from YouTube) so yeah. You should like it. Plenty of updates to come.

I am so sorry for the total lack of updates to our zilch amount of fans. I’ve been busy at uni and stuff, it’s pretty full on for me at the moment. I’ve got three subjects to study for the first semester + part time job. Hopefully in July I can commit to this a bit more, as that’s when the second semester starts and I’ll only haveone subject. Woot.

Anyways, I HAVE been working on a new video and the animation-side of it is finished, however I have some audio changes to make before I upload it (to avoid copyright infringement :P). Hopefully it shall be on de interwebz wizzin ze next 24 hours.

Madd Gear Scooter Song = Creative Commons

I would just like to say sorry about the blog being inaccessible lately, we had to reactivate the old website to access our hosting account files, cause of the data that was stored on there. But anyway, we’re here now and ready again.

We’ve decided to change the license on the Madd Gear Scooter Song from our standard “YouTube License” to a Creative Commons license, meaning you can use it all you in your videos, provided you use it for non-commercial purposes. We also ask that you credit us by linking back to the original video.
But woo! You can now use that amazing piece of audio as the background music in your scooter video.

Next Video… Pre-Production

Sorry for the big delay of posts, folkes. I went away for a week, and got back last Monday, but just needed the majority of the past few days to get back on my feet and not be so tired.

Anyway, I’ve started working early on this week’s video, and decided it’s story and all. I can’t wait to make it over the next few days, it’s gunna be exciting!! I’m scared that it will be considered a bit disrespectful, which it probably will be. But hopefully not considered to be too bad.

I’ll give you a hint to what it’s about: a recent disaster. And your guess will be verified on Friday morning! The script will hopefully be finished tonight, if I can think of the ending. That’s always the part I struggle with. But I will eventually come up with something, and then production will start tomorrow. Woo!

In other updates, I’ve expanded DP onto the Google+ social network. I don’t think I’ll use it too much, cause to me, it sorta sucks. I suppose I’m just too use to Facebook.

Return of the Scouts

Today we’d like to officially announce… the return of The Scout Saga! This is a series which began back in 2009, with three episodes. Each episode revolves around the a group of kids who are part of the Scouts movement, the antics they get up to wherever they go.

The second series began in July 2010, with the first episode “Game Night”, and it has been on hiatus ever since then. We are proud to announce a return of the series, starting from scratch with Season Two. Yep, this means we’re scrapping “Game Night” and starting it all again.

Season Two will feature a brand-new series of stories and new characters. It has been a while since the first series concluded, so time to start again with change.

We’re currently brainstorming new ideas and deciding how many episodes to make this series. We’ll be working hard to get started over the next few months, so until then… stay tuned!

Equipment Updates

Okay, we’d just like to let you know why we’re not uploading videos. Ever since we voiced the New Year’s Day video, we noticed that there is a horrible spluttering noise in the background, behind the voice. And ONLY behind the voice. Which means our ancient three-year-old microphone just isn’t cutting it.

So we’ve decided to put our Mac to good use. It will now be what we use to voice record with, using some special software that will remove background noise. We may also use it for some music creation with GarageBand and all, but you know, we’ll sort all that out when the time comes.

Anyway, so we’re switching to Mac for the voices, and we’re also investing in a brand-new microphone for the studio. One that doesn’t make spluttering noises and fart in your ears when you play it back. Anyway, we’re currently awaiting payment from our videos, so once we receive that it’ll be on-order ASAP. Then we’ll be able to get straight back into video-production for all you sick puppies!

Now, just so you know, I will be taking holidays from the 14th-21st January. So no new videos then, unless we schedule one with a delayed release. We’ll see what happens. Good day to you all!

Our YouTube Partnership

It’s official. Something we’ve been dreaming about for the past three years. It’s come true. We are now a YouTube Partner.

While we’ve had our “monetization account” enabled for a few months now, we’ve only just been approved and entered into the YouTube Partner Programme, which incidentally we received an email about a few weeks ago, encouraging us to apply.

WOOHOO! *insert cartwheels here* So now, we’d like to let you know that our next video will be released on 01.01.2012. New Years Day. The day which pronounces the end of an amazing year, and the exciting beginning of a new one.
